Slow Sundays is an artist-led series of gatherings centred on art, perception, and slowing down to get in touch with our senses.

Rooted in the belief that learning to see more closely can change how we experience the world, Slow Sundays offers carefully curated workshops that invite adults and children to slow down, make by hand, and practice sustained attention.

Through painting, drawing, shared rituals, and seasonal rhythms, these sessions explore art not as a pursuit of perfection, but as a way of noticing - of light, form, material, and each other.

Slow Sundays is both a creative practice and a cultural offering, designed to create space for presence and connection in an increasingly accelerated world.

UPCOMING EVENTS

THE SHAPE OF ATTENTION

MARCH 8, 2026

9:30 - 11:30AM (Parent + Child)

The Shape of Attention is a Slow Sundays studio workshop exploring the practice of artful perception.

Designed for both parents and children (ages 5+), this session invites you to slow down and examine how attention moves - how light, shadow, colour and form shift depending on where and how we look.

We begin with a gentle floor introduction considering the structure of attention and its role in shaping experience. From there, we gather at a carefully curated studio table inspired by late summer; natural objects, seasonal forms and shifting light.

Participants are guided through a drawing study before developing their own painting in gouache on fine art paper.

No two works will be alike. Each painting emerges from individual observation rather than imitation.

This workshop is not about copying an image. It is about learning to see and recognising that the distinct shape of our attention influences how we experience the world.

All materials are provided. No experience necessary - only curiosity and a willingness to look closely.
